SummaryEdit

Devastated by Mari's revelation, Kate is unable to understand how Mari convinced Hana to help her after she was shown the footage of Kiyoshi and Mari in the ouroburos position. Both Hana and Mari reveal that Mari managed to contact Hana by using Chiyo's phone and convey important information of their plan to counteract Kate’s subterfuge. On the roof of the boy’s dorm room, Gakuto confirm to Shingo that the escape plan was nothing more but chicanery and misdirection – all with the true goal of constraining Kate into bringing Mari out of the Prison Block. Thus, Kate would have naturally brought Mari with her when Kate believed her room had been infiltrated.

In her dorm room, Kate understands that she was manipulated into handcuffing Mari after she was allowed to discover the escape kit. However, Mari denies that everything she told to her was a lie. As the footage on Hana’s laptop places Kate on a level field, Mari declares her will to accept mutual destruction through the release of the footage if Kate does so. Now satisfied that they will have a fair and honest fight in the Cavalry Contest, Mari shakes Kate’s hand. At the Prison Block, an angered Risa is futher enraged by Kiyoshi's laugh upon her return. Assuming that he is also insulting her like the boys, she beats him heavily until Mari’s return. After leaving, Risa checks Kate's bedroom only to find no-one, while Kate is burning all of her middle-school memorabilia with a vicious smile.
